Welcome to the Holcombe Valley Holiday Cottages web site. We have four self catering cottages sleeping from 2 to 7 people, set in the peaceful Holcombe Valley, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by arable farmland and chalk downs. We are about two miles from the Jurassic Coast in beautiful Dorset which is part of a World Heritage Site.

Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city - from right outside your cottage you can listen to skylarks, watch hares playing, deer grazing and buzzards soaring. There is an active badger set about 200 metres from the cottages, and the badgers are frequently seen during the summer months. This is the perfect location to relax and unwind.

The cottages are converted from stone barns and each has an individual character. All except the smallest cottage have cast iron woodburning stoves in their lounges and are equipped with all that you will need for a comfortable stay. All the cottages have modern gas central heating. We provide a welcome pack of Dorset goods and information about local Farm Shops and food producers.

Situated about 1/2 mile south of the village of Broadmayne, about 4 miles south east of Dorchester and about the same distance north east of Weymouth. Visitors can walk to Broadmayne via a bridleway (about 15 mins) where there is a village shop and pub.

We are ideally situated for exploring Dorset's fabulous coastline, countryside, RSPB reserves, historic towns and monuments. The cottages are about two miles from the coast which can be reached by road or by footpaths and bridleways. There is excellent walking and off road cycling direct from the cottages without having to use roads. There are many excellent beaches nearby and opportunities to have a go at sailing and windsurfing in the waters that will be used for the 2012 Olympic Sailing Event. Came Down golf club is about two miles from the cottages.

Pets (Click here for Rules) are welcome in the two smallest cottages, but must be booked with us before arrival - please read our rules before booking. All our cottages are totally NO SMOKING.
